Therapy Dog

Therapy Dog:
Therapy dogs are dogs that volunteer with

their owners to benefit the lives of others. Therapy dogs are

dogs who go with their owners to volunteer in settings

such as schools, hospitals, and nursing homes.

Service Dog

Service Dog:
A service animal is a dog that is individually

trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an

individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory,

psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.

Preliminary Requirements:

  • Scheduled a call with our Head Trainer
  • An appointment must be scheduled for an in person evaluation at our training facility where we will evaluate your dog’s behavior and temperament to determine their suitability to perform the tasks and services necessary to meet the needs and goals of the individual.
  • A letter from either a medical or mental health provider stating their recommendation that the individual would benefit from having a service dog.
  • The letter does not need to disclose any personal or private HIPPA protected information.
